Question about giving myself shots of test

I have a question regarding giving myself shots. The doctor gave me a prescription for test and I have been giving myself the shots in the guads. I noticed that sometimes when removing the needle some of the test leaks out. Why is that? Am I pulling the needle out too fast or what? It's not all the time just once in a while.

You could be removing the needle to fast or injecting too fast. Make sure that your muscle is relaxed also when injecting. You should take about 30 seconds to push 1cc.

Either you are injecting too fast or you are not deep enough.

Have to agree...what a second or so after pushing the plunger all the way down and make sure you are using at least 1" needle.

Im surprised your doctor told you to inject in your quads! You should just use your glutes.

Easier to hit artery and nerve bundle in the glute. A person who doesn't know where to inject could more easily hurt themselves there. Outer quads are definately safer. Ventrogluteal is the safest and easiest though.
