100 units per ML... 10 ml vial
Syringe used : 100 units insulin syringe (1cc)
If i want to take 2 IU's... i draw to 20 on syringe or just to mark 2 at the bottom?
Thanks
First of all, how many IU's per bottle?
100 units per ML 10 ML bottle. so 1000 ius
That don't sound right. You are saying 100 units per cc(ml is the same)? If it is generic and you got 100units, they normally come in 10 bottles at 10 iu per bottle. So, tell me the total units you purchase and how many bottles.
Stupid me, I though you were talking about GH Insulin at 100 iu I would mix 10cc of solution. You would have 10 slin pins filled Each slin pin would be 10 iu's, so 20 on each slin pin is 2 iu. Please make sure you have the right amount, You can die! Also make sure you have dextrose or glucose on hand. I hope you know what you are doing, slin is dangerous.
You do know that insulin offset is 30 minutes and peaks at 2.5 - 5 hours and duration is 8 hours?
Yes. This is the only one i could get it.
I took first time yesterday and had no problems. Took 20 on slin pin , same as you said. But someone told me that was wrong so i needed sec opinion
Yikes, thats 20 IU. How did you feel afterward? You probably went hypo if you didnt eat enough after taking that. Going hypo is a feeling you will never forget.
i'm diabetic...100 units per ml. 10 ml bottle has 1000 units.
On a insulin syringe, 2 ticks is 2 IU. 20 is 20 iu not 2iu like posted above.
Thats can be a life and death mistake when using a log insulin. If you take 20 units and only think you're geting 2 iu... YOU BETTER BE READY WHEN IT KICKS IN!!!. 2iu isn't going to hurt much, with 20 iu you can really cause yourself some problems.
Thanks aj1 for clarifying.
