Here's what happened to me. Like most, I was furloughed from my job on March 20th. I began getting some discomfort in my inner left thigh in mid May. My calf began to swell in late May. I went to the Walk-In Clinic, where they told me to immediately go to the Regional Hospital ER for a Sonogram. I was diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis with Pulmonary Embolism. I was admitted and immediately put on a Heparin Drip. After 3 days in the hospital, I was released with a 3 month prescription of Eliquis. After 3 months, my condition has improved 99%. The reason I go into such detail is because, I know there are a bunch of people with medical training. While I was in the ER, the Doctor asked if I was on TRT. Would gear cause this condition?

I would guess your prognosis is probably correct. Doesn't sound like DVT.

Had you been tested previously for any of the genetic clotting disorders? Did they test you for them after the diagnosis?

^^^sure ..TRT "could" have been a factor ..high estrogen is a potential cause/contributor of both DVT & PE
