|--[\\\]>--------- Just got back from San Diego and i must say, i may be moving! it was my 1st time there and there is NO other place i'd like to live...i will elaborate more, but man it is beautiful there! You def. cant beat the wheather there! anyone who lives there now, or close, you are VERY lucky!

|---[\\\\]>--------- Yeah, no kidding, i didnt see any 'nice' houses except up on top of the mountains. That is the only real draw back (but big one) that the cost of living there is so high! As for TJ, i was only there for 3 days and didnt get a chance to get down there, but i heard it's only like a 10 min. train ride down there! next time i go, i'll go down there and check it out

Oh man... San Diego is the SHIT bro.
I love going out there... although i am on the east coast the flight is worth it.
If you take the trolly you can get into TJ in less then 25 minutes. Taking the trolly back is evey shorter.
If you move... i can offer you a JOB

Im moving to SD also. I just got back from pacific beaach, mission beach area and it is great. Very fitness-health consious, tons of fitness centers, organic food stores, etc

Im looking for an area that is up & coming in san diego, anyone have any ideas?

I haved lived in SoCal since 97' (OC) and have really enjoyed it here. San Diego is great and would be a very great place to live. Just make sure you are bringing in the $$ as it is not cheap here. Obviously, rent is the biggest drain -- but companies pay pretty well.

Ocean Beach/Pt Loma is the place to buy if you want near the water. Most people are buying old places and rebuilding. Still over a mil after upgrades. Inland, there are plenty of places that are new if you like track homes, albeit nice ones. Median prices only rose about 2% in the last month-about $500K which is great for California. Lowest increase in the state.
