Seriously ? ?

Well this thread went exactly in the direction I thought it would. The first 2 pages were funny but quickly went into people pushing their ideologies. Im just here for bodybuilding, guess I'm the odd man out.

years ago, our beloved brother naps on ICQ (2008 era) told me there are still people in Romania cruising in horse and buggy :) he didn't mention Moldova
Hell, that’s still prevalent in the US. All ya gotta do is drive through Amish areas in the Midwest. Huge areas in eastern Ohio and Pennsylvania.

You’ll be rollin down the highway doing 55-60mph and run up on a horse and buggy just trotting along… Definitely gotta pay attention. The stores around those areas will have hitching posts for the horses to be tied off on while they shop.

Daaaang!!!! Homie got a great ass! It’s hard to describe what I’m seeing here… At first I thought it was a semi-naked, flat chested, unattractive woman. Just noticed the legs & ass.

Now I gotta scrub my eyes with bleach… God Dammit!

@cage99 ....LOL.
Hope you didn't get a "chub". If you did, what does that mean? J/k.

"The promoters want to create a space for men who feel like they don’t belong in the sport" that's a real blanket statement that applies to most of the population. maybe one day gyno will be seen in an entirely different light and people will be like "i was young and stupid and had my moobs removed, so I gotta run 4 grams of estrogen just to see any growth"
One of the comments on IG asked if gyno would be extra points 😁

I have a hard time believing I am the only one who has.a.friend that has been like "so what if they have a dick, what you never seen a dick before they look like women just fuck em in the ass". And that's just weight lifters people who are older and do martial arts...thats where the real perverts are. Like be out and run into some cross dressers you actually know...lol. This can't be unique to my area.

Not unique to your area trust me… There’s no shortage of trannies in the Quarter here. Been round em many times, but could always tell they were once a dude. I’ve never seen the super pretty ones you see online that you’d never know they were a dude before… That’s just scary to me!!!

I’ve got a few buds that would plow through anything… They would have zero problems smashing one from the back and brag abt it after!

Lol, I haven't spotted one at the gym yet but I will see guys being overly flamboyant now days. Tight pants, belly shirts, doing something I guess injections to make their ass big, even saw one wearing a purse at the gym. "Progressive" society lol

Yeah, no brother..instant incommunicado..not saying their aren’t tons of internet porn desensitized simps out there like that..but I don’t befriend those types.

You are the sum of the 5 people closest to you..I would never allow a person like that to be that close

At 47, this stuff makes me yearn for my younger era. In the UK, it was still very a subculture in the 90’s, wasn’t perfect at all but the body building gyms were mostly buried away in a backstreet, everybody know each other, even if only for a nod of the head type acknowledgment, bodybuilders were always 1 of the lads, from all walks of life, all had in common the same work ethic. Nobody was filming in gyms unless for a bodybuilding mag photoshoot. There was loads of banter put nobody was showing off, a t shirt was as posey as you got. lol.

The whole gym got behind the competitors, we would go to the EFBB and nabba shows on a coach to support our lads.

This is no doubt a rant and reminisce and deviated from the original post, sorry op but the way this stuff has gone in the sport I’ve loved for 35 years, has lost what we once had and it’s a shame that the newer generation will never witness it

I'm surprised no one yet mentioned the absurd irony that as a man who wants to be more masculine, even the most open minded Dr's will only give me a script for TRT that will take me into 1100-1200 range at best.

Were I a man who wanted to be a woman, Docs will gladly provide me with antiandrogens to suppress me from 700 down to 70.

Were I a woman who wants to be a man, they will Rx me Testosterone that will bring me to ten times over biological female range.

Oddly enough if I was a prepubescent boy wanting to accelerate into manhood with an RX, a doctor would encourage me to wait until I was 21 or 22 and only use exogenous hormones if I was well under normal range. He'd probably give me a stern talking to about the dangers of AAS, and possibly even warn my parents that my body dysmorphia could lead to dangerous behaviors in my teen years.

Were I a prepubescent girl requesting testosterone from my Dr. to transition to a man, he'd likely say "well your timing couldn't be more perfect!"

As Dynamo87 said earlier in the thread "at some point the crazy button was pressed and we have been on steady slide ever since."

Getting back to the original post and "The promoters want to create a space for men who feel like they don’t belong in the sport." This is illogical and absurd on its face. Sports are, by their nature, non-inclusive. If you "feel" like you don't belong in a sport, then you have to work to become someone who belongs. If you lack the genetics or anything else to have the work pay off, well, life isn't fair and the fact is, you don't belong. Not everyone can run a 40 yard dash in just over 4 seconds. Not everyone can vertical jump 44" in the air. Not everyone can toss a football 70 yards with accuracy or a baseball at 90mph. This is why sports are entertaining, because we are watching gifted people who train hard do incredible things. It is also why sports are a business. Ticket sales, advertising spots, sponsorships, and every other stream of revenue associated with sports is because gifted people capable of amazing feats, perform them as we watch. If you had a strongman competition for mildly strong average Joes, no one is going to pay to see that, or pay for an ad, nor sponsor an average guy for benching 95 lbs. on a machine.

It would be like saying "let's add a class to Olympic Diving competitions for people who don't know how to dive" or "there should be a few bouts in every UFC for people who have no fight skill, training, or experience, who are unathletic and do not have a competitive and combative nature." I mean how far does the slippery slope go. If you follow the logical thread, it's not just competing at a lower bar, it's like saying "you get to be in the competition without competing". I want to be in Wimbledon. I've never played tennis. I don't have a racquet. In fact I don't even really want to play per se, I just want to be included because I feel excluded. So I would like to walk onto the court wearing old sweats and a baseball cap, sit on my lawn chair and eat ice cream, while the crowd looks at me. Doesn't matter if my opponent is world ranked and zings 90mph forehands by me, or also sits at his end of the court reading a comic book. Thanks for including me. I feel better now.

OK rant over....

This kind of stuff doesn't bother me at all. I couldn't care less what other people do with their lives if it doesn't involve me. It's actually hilarious to me when people get upset over the way other people want to live their lives.

We all agree that people should be able to organise their own shows of their choice with the rules they wish to set.

Now, they cannot force the rest of us to accept or approve their beauty pageants. Nor can they pretend that they can compete as if they were bodybuilders.

Of course, the BB federations are in search of money and have long since abandoned their original mission to promote the BB. But we fans don't have to agree with the promoters and executives.

One more thought:

I wonder what it will take for the world to once again realize that life is not fair, not everyone gets to do or be whatever they want, that dreams sometimes don't come true, that you have to work with perseverance and fortitude towards objectives and achieve them in order to succeed, that some will fail, and that's OK, and that there are winners and losers, and the strong negative emotions associated with the latter are there to foster desire and ambition and the motivation to work harder and do better, and that sometimes- you just do not belong. Period. End of story.
