Slowing the Metabolism

So I got a buddy, guy's a freak of nature, strong as hell, lean, but He wants to pack on the pounds. He has got one of those non-stop metabolisms that nearly lets him eat anything and stay lean. So I know the more frequent you eat, rasies the metabolism, but any thoughts, other than genetic mutation, on how to get an ecto-meso to put on the quality lean pounds. Trying to slow down that metabolism.
 
That's a tough one ! has he tried those weight gainer shakes (the one's with huge amounts of calories,protein and carbs ) along with/in between his meals ?
 
Maybe just eating 2 or 3 large meals everyday?

If he is creating sufficient demand for his muscles to grow than they will even with a fast metabolism. Maybe less frequent meals will help to slow it down?

but for people with a fast metabolism carbs are a big nono. it will only speed things up. maybe drop (some of) the carbs and up the fats/proteins.
 
Eat more big meals, less frequent.

I don't think metabolisms differ that much. You can predict most anyone's BMR pretty accurately. This would be impossible if some burned thousands of calories more than others with the same stats. I know a lot of skinny guys who claim to eat huge amounts of crap yet are unable to gain weight. But what I always find is that these guys can eat a lot at a time but they don't stay consistent with the calorie intake, they miss a meal here, miss a whole day there. So it evens out in the end and the total intake isn't as huge as they think at the end of the week.

The key is to stay consistent. Don't miss meals, don't miss days. If this guy can't gain yet claims to eat constantly have him write down every morsel he puts in his mouth over a week and count the calories. The result may surprise him.

Nah, I don't really think so. Not to any really significant extent. It's really simple, if he's over maintenance he will put on weight period, doesn't matter where it comes from.
