Something Floating in Vial

So i was looking into the vial today and say that there is a little tiny piece of something floating around inside of the vial. It looks like a little piece of the rubber from the top of the vial. Like when i poked the 18gauge needle in there its almost like it tore the top of the vial seal and pushed alittle piece of the rubber into the vial...(thats what it looks like, just a little tiny piece of rubber)

My concerns are.. Do you think it is still sterile?
What do you reccomend I do?

O and i forgot to add that i have drawn out of that same vial once before. When i got it there was definitely nothing in it. Maybe that first time i drew from it i ripped the rubber off the vial and dragged it into the Test.??

it happens. Sometimes when using an 18g needle, alittle piece of the rubber gets pushed into the juice. Hopefully you cleaned the top very well.

Try using a 20 or 21g to draw.. it obliterates the rubber stopper less.

Top of the Vial was spotless (i hope so) Swabbed it 3 seperate times for 25 seconds each time i swabbed.

I still dont want to risk it tho.

Just be really careful and keep an eye on that piece and make sure that it doesnt enter your syringe when you draw from it for the next injection! If you were to draw it into the syringe, you could end up injecting it into your body. to be really safe it would be best to transer the contents into another container, being careful not to draw up that stopper, or maybe even just filter it through a whatman.

Y use such a big needle to draw up with anyway,but yea it happens.

Well you could always transfer it into another vial while using a whatman filter and a smaller gauge needle of course.

You will get rubber stopper droppings from time to time in the mix. They usually won't go through the pin. It will plug it up though.

Yeah, usually it will just plug it up. Ive had some though, when I tested it, could pass through the needle and would end up getting injected into the site.

18g!!!
f-that,are those all you can get???

i know back in the day when i was starting to use,i didnt care how big the pin was as long as i got my dose lol,but now i don't go below a 22g.
i think the gear is fine just watch it and becareful when drawing like all the other guys are saying,peace!

Yea I read a lot of people using 18G needles to draw product but why not just
use a little higher gauge and wait a little longer to draw. Everyone wants things
done "now"!! quicker, faster
