Sterile abcess's

Ok...am I the only guy in here that get's sterile abcess's? I've had 2 so far in the past year....the right shoulder had 18cc's of sterile sludge about 9 months ago.....the left shoulder had 9cc's of sterile puss taken out yesterday. They're not infected or hot, but it seems that after some injections I get an abcess. I always clean everything with alcohol and use new needles. Are some people more prone to sterile abcess's?

Did you go to the doctor?

I get them also - and they take FOREVER to go away. My doc told me to NOT DRAIN THEM - just let them go away on there own.

How long does it take?I have one in my left delt.Its alittle rounder then my right.So one day I decided to drain it and see whatsup,I must have pulled out 15 cc's if not more.It didnt smell like an infection,in fact it smelled alot like the steroid oil.Its not hot or anything either.It went down for about a week afterwards but since then it has come back.I feel like I did not drain it enough and my body just put more fluid there.Is this possible?Im ready to drain it again,what do you think?

I suppose it's like when you get a blister from a burn - they say don't pop it and it'll heal faster.

I am no doctor bro, but all I can say is from experence. More or less the same thing happened with my tricep a few weeks back. On the first go I took 25ml of what my doctor told me was straw, still had pain in tricep so just kept drawing out straw every few days untill no more would come out. 3 weeks after now, tricep is nearly 100%(no swelling) just a little hard lump of what feels like scar tissue. If you go to hospitial there is a machine that draws it out for you. My doctor says it can be caused by injecting into a blood vescle. Hope this helps ya bro.

I seem to get them in my shoulders. My doc says it's your bodies response to a foreign substance...white blood cells on the attack to the foreign substance. I can't imagine not having it drained...I'd have huge golf ball to tennis ball size lumps on my shoulders. My doc drains them, has them checked for infection and gives me antibiotics just in case. I'm not a doc...maybe somebody could chime in on this.

By the way...I haven't seen Bald Nazi on here in forever....you're look'n good from your pic...keep it up

I couldn't believe it either!

Maybe because there was no lump, redness, swelling, pain. or increased body temperature? I pulled out as much as 20 ml.

i believe I had one about a month and a half ago. it was the size of a golf ball, no pain/no redness, wasn't hot, but it was ugly as shit. it was right on my left thigh, it actually went away a lot quicker then it seems some of you guys have had experieince with. it took about 3-4 weeks to be fully gone. like it strunk down a tiny bit every day.
