Stop Bpc 157 -TB500 before surgery?

Any thoughts on stopping BPC and TB before surgery? wondering about bleeding etc and I haven't mentioned it to surgeon yet but odds are he wont know what it is and im sure just out of caution probably would say to stop it..I have 3 weeks left on 8 week cycle of this protocol and it's been great healer of my shoulder. If I move forward with surgery it is called Deep Brain Stimulation surgery for essential tremor. It involves inserting 2 probes into your brain at very specific spots along with a battery pack that gets placed in upper chest and they make adjustments as you are awake and speaking to the surgical team as they fine tune it. Obviously because it's the brain I wondering about the BPC or TB affecting bleeding especially with the brain involved. Any thoughts appreciated. Thank you

Holy shit man. This is one where I would be truly shocked if someone said they knew or had experience. Just to be safe, maybe lay off before the surgery. Good luck bro.

1. Just for my own curiosity is it being done sterotactic or image guided? Aka awake but numb or asleep? I know the tuning is done awake but actual lead placement?

2. I believe there was a study done on mice amputations and bpc decreased hemorrhage regardless of presence of warfarin or heparin (anticoagulants)

3. IMO not worth the risk. Your shoulder can wait. You can always cycle it again. I’d say come off it. Whatever you do, don’t take something that may affect clotting cascade and NOT tell your doctor. If you stay on, tell him. Or just be conservative and come off it, restart once you’re cleared.

Thanks I agree I am going to stop it 2 weeks before surgery. They put you out just to drill hole in top of head , then you are awake enough that you are conversing with the surgeon and they have you writing your name and simulate that you are drinking water as they fine tune and adjust where they place probes they pinpoint are based on pre testing and mri. I am completely healthy in life but essential tremor sucks. I shake when I shave,eat ,drink and now injecting my trt is affected. Very high success rate for essential tremor. Not nearly as effective for Parkinson’s patients.

Amazingly they explained the brain will not feel pain as you are awake while probes are put in and inserted. They are starting to use it for depression and OCD also. You tube has some amazing before and after videos

Yessir. The brain doesn’t have nociceptors (fibers that detect damage) so you will be blissfully unaware of the poking. I’ve only seen it done once in person but a very unique experience on our end as OR staff to be talking and joking with the patient keeping nerves calm while in the OR.
