I managed to get a hold of some copies of "Hardcore Muscle", written by doggcrapp quite a while ago. By far, one of the most interesting things he writes about is structural adaption through stretching. (anyone whos read it will know what im talking about).

Do any of you guys believe in it?

Ive been attempting to stretch my frame out for a while now, and honestly, i feel its working, but it could just be the placebo effect.. who knows.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with this, as well as their own personal ideas of how to stretch the human frame out (wider shoulders, wider ribcage, wider back, etc). lets hear it.

In order to stretch your actual frame, both your bones and muscles would have to be wider(stretched). Bones cannot be stretched. So no, I don't believe that you can widen your frame from stretching.

i shouldnt have said stretching the frame, as thats just the way i phrase it. its more like connective tissue remodeling, in order to widen the "frame/structure"
if that makes more sense..
 
I have been long interested in this as well. I definitely think it is possible. I am going to start consistently incorporating the weighted wide-grip hang (shoulder girdle), pullover (ribcage), and the doorknob stretch (scapula) each week once or twice after training the related muscles and see what happens. I have briefly tried it in the past, but am going to actually start doing it consistently, week in, week out.

I "think" there is joint dislocation invovled refered to as scapula popping.

Well bro, connective tissue can only stretch so far. With that being said, if it is possible to stretch out your frame this way, it would be very limited. IMO, how you are genetically built is the ultimate deciding factor on width.
