SUMMER VACATION HAS BEGUN!

Each year I teach my biology classes and yearn for summer. Well, it's here and I have been in the sun, rain, and water every day unless I am just too darn sore from lifting, hiking and cardio to move. This was what I have done the past few days.

My buddy Matt [who has been in my picture threads before ] my dad, my cousin donny and his mule "homer" went up in the mountains.

It was a beautiful day.

I did get a little too much sun that day. Mat and I tried to keep up with the mule on foot. Not gonna happen. We were both sweating our asses off in short order. Walking up hills is much harder than the treadmill. No question about it.

gotta love a good mule , I'd rather ride a mule than a horse anyday of the week , 99% of the time their temperment is WAY better than a horse and they are always alot smarter.

Mules are smarter. This one has a ton of personality. I also saw a big Rock Chuck sitting there as we drove up. It had just rained and the sun was out. Mat got a few ticks on him. I didn't cause my blood is too anabolic for ticks.

The little bastards can't take it.

Both the Belle [the dog pictured below ] and Mat had ticks. I did not. The mule didn't either. I'd better talk to the vet and see what's going on with Homer! lol

I like it outside.

One of my friends on here set me straight on the fact that for every person that likes my threads there are two that think I am an attention whore. He's had to defend me on more than one occasion. He also pointed out that many think I am falsely humble.

Well, I may be an attention whore. It's not because I think I am a great bodybuilder. I can definitely assure you of that. I think I am generic. I am doing okay for a taller guy and carry 274lbs at pretty low bodyfat. That doesn't compare to the great physiques on this board.

I wanted to make that fact clear. I am okay physique wise. I don't care who is who in the "sport". Not important to me at all.

That being said, it gets worse. I love flowers, trees, butterflys and all that gay stuff. lol.

It was beautiful up there.

LOL, you crack me up JT! Nothing wrong with some hiking, mules, 274lbs massive lean human, friends, and scenery...I prefer that type of cardio anyday - outside hiking, even though I may have to hop of the mule when the inclines in the hills get too steep

Oh, one more thing, you are one of the great physiques on this board. A walking 274lb lean man is very impressive and you do not have to be on stage to do so. Keep enjoying and sharing with us JT, you make this board fun, entertaining, and great from life events to bodybuilding - that is pretty darn cool to me

Thanks for being nice. I'll keep posting stuff because I have a blast the three months that I am not working. During the school year it's cold and crappy and I don't have a hell of a lot to do besides dink around here at promuscle!

Check this out, Lenny. It snowed a little up here last week and the creeks were running high. There was snow that got up to Homer's belly and my cousin had to turn him around.

Just last weekend I visited with my cousin from
Washington, who I had not seen in years. Come
to find out she just moved back to Idaho, where
she was raised. She bought some property, will
have horses, etc. When she told me what town
she moved to, I hit the floor. When I got up,
I told her I have an old friend who lives in that
same town.

It's a small world.

Many years ago, I worked with this man (see above) who
subsequently introduced me to horseback riding. Hooked,
I then went on to get a horse, buy a saddle, all the tack,
and for years we proceed to go horse packing, countless
multi-day trips, regardless of season or weather, all over
the grand state of CA. Will never forget those days
and nights (the ones I can remember that is . . .) so
your recent fotos; mules / horses / outdoors, I don't care,
brings a tear to my eyes, recalling all the wonderful times
I had on the back of one of these beasts of burden.

So . . . when can I visit?

Ron, I am going up to teach a class [ get this ] hiking in the mountains- identifying animals and plants in Glacier park this month 21-25th! lol. I get paid 1500 for that week. I can make one more house payment before they kick me out! lol. Anyway, the only other thing I have planned is visiting board member Lex and his wife this summer.

Mat fell in love with that mule too. I have tons of room and you can tell I am as flat out down to earth as they come. I am plain as dirt.

Bring your camera and take some REAL pictures to share with these all these guys!

It kept on going around to each of us just to look up, smile and wag it's tail then take off again. Sometimes I wish I was a dog. We all ate egg salad sandwiches and sat around for a couple hours in the back of the truck after wards.

You made that whole experience awesome last year at the L.A. Championships. What shows are you attending this year?

Oh, and you know how you are always mentioning that you feel short. My dad is 5'5. Damn near all my friends [ lifters of course ] are your height. We tall goofy looking bastards will never look like you do.
