I wasnt going to post this but I feel credit is due.........a while back i hired Phil, didnt feel it was working out and quit his program.........

Sometimes i think we worry so much about which program is better we forget to give 100 percent to the one we HAVE! Same goes with diet...........

I recently restarted his program just for poops and giggles, this time has been 100 percent different......i am progressing on my lifts, and my recovery is EXCELLENT.

Point being, don't second guess yourself so much like i did......pick a program, stick to it and give the program time to work

I feel like so many people are changing there program every few weeks or month. Give something some time to work. Ive been using Phil for 2 and 1/2 months now and enjoying the benefits of following his plan.

Been on Phil's program or about a year. Biggest leanest and freakiest I've ever been. People wonder wtf he never shoulder presses, no leg press or leg ext. he can al my body parts be growing? I have yet to feel over trained also.

And the diet? People just shake their heads at the fruit I eat. Lol

It works. Plain and simple!
 
My thing was if i go hard and bust out squats leg press and everything else and kill my legs, it took me wayyyyyyyyy too long to recover.......now i go hit it hard rest and repeat.

Not currently following the diet however

It worked for me and I had been stuck in a rut for a long time. I was severely overtraining, but then on Phil's program I was able to recover and grow. Sometimes less is better, and that goes with drugs too as Phil lectured me on.

I was expecting u to chime in......i think the program has benefited me more now because of the way i work.......my hours are really screwed up.....workouts are quick, and hard....rest and repeat

Yeah, thats a good thing too about the program. I think it is really beneficial to hit it fast and hard and get out so that you can recover and hit it again ASAP. Hitting each bodypart 2x per week worked wonders for me. I gained strength so fast that I ended up with some nagging injuries and had to lay off some of the extra weights for about 1 month. It seemed like my connective tissues could not keep up with the strain my muscles were putting on them.

for what it is worth, when people ask me what is the best way to train. i tell them what ever you are willing to push your self at. i think some programs are much better then others but if you don't apply yourself then it doesn't much matter.
 
Phil is awesome! He helped me get to my leanest I had ever been!! And strongest!

Keep at it bro! It just gets better.

Phil's way of doing things is kind of a leap of faith when you're used to training/eating according to more "traditional" methods...but if you commit, you'll be amazed
 
Funny

SO MANY people never write me back after 10 days........they quit......never hear from them again....then I see them promote another trainer.....they trainer shop..........they look the same YEARS later now also.....so just stick with it......I did.

I have seen so many people do that on this board. Each trainer is the best they have ever used yet they look the same=-)

For me, i have trained many different ways, something like what you do, Mountaindog, DC, Blood and Guts, volume, etc. If nutrition and rest is on point and at the time i have the hormone levels to support it, i make great gains on all of them. I just enjoy trying new things because for me, this is a hobby and i love trying out new things.

Just from the few bodybuilding conversations that we have had though, i have learned many many things from you!
