T4 for only 2weeks?

Dont have enough time to order t3, so does Anyone know how long T4 takes to kick in. I have something coming up in 2weeks in which i'd like to run around 200mcg of T4 for but if it takes a long time to kick in then it wouldnt be worth it.

Bump that,i just started using T4(cant get a hold of T3...sux)-i hear that you can go longer on it than on T3(8-weeks or so)-started 100mcg. and will go up to 200mcg. after a couple of weeks,then stay and taper back down,any other advice will be apreciated.

T4 is going to cause more issues with hypothyroidism since so many are trying it now.
(Thanks AR and or what ever other reason try this availability of T3 etc)
T4 is long acting and takes several weeks to kick in, most endocronologists use 8 weeks between tests when adjusting doses.
You can try taking the 200 mcg on an empty stomach first thing AM for two weeks can't promise any benefit.
Since T3 has such a short half life it isn't safe for those with any type of heart issues just like clen and drene aren't either but the advantage of T3 is it won't suppress the thyroid long term unless you really go apeshit on dosages and length.
T4 is more likey to suppress due to it's long half life but recovery from it is possible it just takes a lot longer and the metabolic lag is tough to deal with it.
T4 must be converted make sure you take it on an empty stomach and take a full contemplate of minerals later on in the day-especially selenium.

the t4 is a friggin hassle. there is no immediate feedback, so you can't really eyeball the dose and do something like bump it up to 200 after 2 weeks. at 2 weeks the 100mcg is just starting to take effect. it takes forever for the resulting t3 levels to stabilize on any given dosing schedule. it really is not a 2-week drug. i have seen people benefit who use it longer term, and get the dosage in the right spot.
