Ok, I can watch this movie over and over along with The Bourne Supremacy and still it rings a certain tone in my head that I equate to. Few movies out there which are novel based besides Hunt For Red October and *some* of the other Clancy based writings keep my attention. Some how they reach a verdict that is very stimulating, yet real...

I've have both of them in my collection and watch it from time to time. 2 good movies!

I like the Bourne movies too. What I think is refreshing is that it departs from the unrealistically handsome, classy guy and the incredibly voluptious, yet still 105lb, type of casting. Can you imaging Pearce Brosnen or Tom Cruise trying to pull that role off the way Damon did? At first, when I saw the trailer, I thought "NO way he's going to be believable in that role." Yet he was. All 150 lbs of him.

That fight scene where the operative came through the window? Really kickass. First time I ever saw someone get their ass kicked by a Bic pen. LOL

Even the fact that the female lead pukes leaving the hotel... Just very realistic. I have the song by Moby that they kick in at the end and run through the credits... still gets me pumped.

remember casino?joe pesci phucked that dude up with a pen
bro, a pen or pencil is better than a knife.a knife cuts, but people are aware of them,a pen/pencil goes straight in (the neck especially)and most are not concerned about them.

both are good movies i do agree.

Hell Yeah, excellent movies!!!

I loved both of those movies, Matt Damon did a great job and the fight scenes in them were incredible....

Loved them both. Have both in my collection.

Another decent movie that I love to go back to is the movie Ronin. I'm a sucker for car chase scenes!

Hey JT, if you enjoy reading books with good research, try Vince Flynn and Lee Child books too.

What about Liar Liar with Jim Carey??? " THE COLOR OF THE PEN THAT I HOLD IN MY HAND IS ROOYYYAALLLLLL BLUUEEEE"

check out Lucky # Slevin if you haven't seen it...i dont know how this movie got under the radar...one of my new faves. Not so much fight scenes per say, although there is some definite violence. The story is just crazy.

Thanks man, I'll remember that the next time I need to stick someone in the neck. If only I'd known sooner! Ya crazy bastard!!!:D

I guess I have to see Casino (can't believe I haven't seen it)

A movie has to be believable to be enjoyable for me. One ridiculously impossible stunt can ruin a movie for me.

Clancy's stuff... the details are in line so that it seems like it really *could* happen.

But I did like the last Miami Vice movie a lot more than I thought I would despite the huge casting mistake of putting in that Oriental chick who was hard to understand and didn't seem to fit in. Eva Mendes would've been a better choice for that role. But anyway, I was surprised that I enjoyed the movie as much as I did.

The Departed...One fine piece of work that I doubt anyone could not enjoy.

I'LL GIVE THOSE A TRY....THANKS!

Actually,he was a bit heavier than 150 lbs;
He did hire a trainer to bulk up a bit for this role,i think he was around 180 lbs at about 5'9".

at the end there and thought it was TP4U. I was jokingly referreing to my friend TP4U as a "crazy bastard" - he knows I am kidding. I don't know you, sorry.

Wow, I messed up all over the place on that one! Thanks for setting me straight!
