Wassup PM,

So I'm on a bulk again in case y'all didn't know yet. Going great so far, but the same issue always comes back around every bulk. How do you minimize abdominal distension??

Do you guys pound fiber? What brands work? What kinds? How much? How often?

Do you guys wear some kinda corset for men? What brands?

What do you do to keep your stomach and digestion running despite the insane quantity of food you take in?

Help!
 
For me:

Sugarfree metamucil 2x daily
Probiotic blend 2x daily

And the key...

Finding out which foods give you the most distension (and at what amounts), and limiting / avoiding them.

i.e. I eat 3c of oats in a day, I get bloaty and gassy and super distension. 2.5c a day--no problems.
 
Start by looking at the foods your're eating, some people get bad inflammation from rice some from oatmeal

Alot of times if it's not the case of high insulin use it'll be something you're eating that your body doesn't like.


Whatever your main carb source is, change it for a few days and stick to one, so maybe only potatoes for a few days if it's not that go to rice, just take things out and then switch them out until you find what works for you

Eating every 2.5 hours or so, when do you take the fiber? I'm always super damn full, eating more on top of fiber is a mission.

I always grab a handful of spinich and put it in with my rice, Ive always found that helps with digestion I got that from Evan Centopani. Also psyllium husk

I do the same with the sugar free Metamucil. 2x daily, usually early morning and early evening. Probiotics, also the same. 2x daily.
 
I found that I had low stomach acid and started taking HCL with pepsin and it has really seemed to help with the digestion of my food.
 
I picked up some psylium husks and will try that out. Do you guys have it between meals?

I've tried that as well, but my stomach adjusts reall quickly. Also if I have it too often then my shit turns very acidic (and burns me).
 
Orange sugar-free Metamucil in the am with breakfast and at night with a couple drops of vanilla extract :headbang:

I have 3 waist tighteners...fat, fatter, and fattest. Your waist is already small so you have no need for them.

I just mentioned it because I never knew until recently. I actually buy the generic brand and it's dirt cheap.

I do 1x in the morning and 1x before bed, same as the other guy :)
 
I was thinking get one of those waist-trainers that women wear. Maybe I'll have to market a male corset for GH users. Unless you guys know of any good brands?

For me very low fibre, next to no veg a little fruit. Mostly white rice, bannana chicken and rice krisbies. Very high carb, easy to digest.

Maybe, all I know is that after a few meals I can get into the prenatal yoga class no problem. They don't even question it anymore. :eek:

Yea, usually one great huge dump when you wake up, and one about noon. Depending on how much I'm eating, I'll crap more often but the metamucil makes sure it at least comes out in 2 huge amounts.

Psyllium husk is also great for cholesterol. Another benefit of it :)
 
I've noticed when I don't rotate my carb sources enough I get crazy distension. I'm intrigued that you're using a different source each meal and that hasn't changed it.

Since doing an intra shake I've noticed huge distension the rest of the day. However, my recovery is so much better I'm unwilling to give it up. I know there was some discussion awhile back about a Mark Dugdale video and the same thing was said by him. Of course I've never noticed any hint of distension on him at a contest so maybe it doesn't matter?
 
I just ordered a waist corset from columbianwast.com gonna give it a shot and see if wearing it 4 hours a day can help
