Thinking of doing 1st show next year

These are pics are of me at 234#, down from 260,I am 5'9". This is certainly the board to go to for advice so I was wondering if I could get some honest critiques for doing my first show, such as should I be bulking or cutting at this point. Wanted to know what you guys think.

could use some better pics, but from what i can see, you have some pretty nice size. with a pretty small waist. overall fairly lean.

then date of the show your thinking about doing, would determine whether your "cutting/bulking".
 
With what I can see it looks like you have the tools to be very competitive. With better pics and adjustments to your posing, your back width looks like you have wings!

If anything, looks like you could add a little more size to your legs to match your upper body. Otherwise, nice condition for being offseason still.
 
db006.............thanx for critique, I'm really not planning on doing a show until next year. As for the pics sorry about that is is the best I can do for now.

mainevent........thanx bro, I do need to hit my legs more, really never thought about doing a show before I just have friends that compete at my gym and are always telling me I should do one. As far as conditioning goes I really dont want to get any fatter than I am right now.

I agree 100% with everything mainevent said. He is right, you have a great build, and once you peeled that fat off I think you would look pretty impressive....especially after another year of mass gaining. You should be bulking bro, dont cut if your show is not until next year, jsut eat clean, but keep the cals really high. If you notice some fat gains, throw 2-3 days of cardio in there in the morning on an empty stomach. Good luck
 
I think you could do very well in a contest....If I were you I wouldnt worry about getting heavier but just concentrate on buillding quality muscle off of what you already have, this way you stay pretty lean and dieting will be a lot easier....I would think after dieting and all that you could squeeze into light heavys...You have some good genetics though man....
 
HELLASWOLE.............Thanx for responding, I agree with you guys I figure within the next year I should be able to take my body to a different level by just adding Quality muscle

HUTCH................Thanx for the response I agree with u, I just wanna add quality muscle at this point. I guess I'll see what happens next year but for now I'll just have to "turn it up a notch":D
