Trying a different oil..

Have some interest in trying Macedamia oil but the Whole Foods Market by me does not carry it. However, they have every other kind of oil possible

Almond
Avocado
Canola
Coconut
Corn
Grapeseed
Flax
Olive
Peanut
Safflower
Sesame
Sunflower
Walnut

What the heck? I see a lot of guys using EVOO and Mac Oil, what about the rest of these? I am sure I did not list them all!

Personally I would stay away from the corn oil, and definitely canola oil. I think the reason a lot of guys use olive oil is its price (very affordable) and relative healthful qualities, though I would avoid cooking with it. Mac nut oil is probably a big one due mostly to Dave Palumbo's promotion of it as a superior oil. I would stick with coconut oil, avocado oil, and butter for frying. For applications without a lot of heat I would add to the list: sesame, flax, and extra virgin ( first cold pressed) olive oil.
