Im getting my eyes check in 2 weeks. Ive heard they can check for diabetes this way.. How many types are there?

No, anywhere between 3 and 4 times a week, normally at night 2 hours after my last meal...I average between 120-140.

Been on and off for years.I have been on every type of insulin and have been on every oral produced and combination of them at some point.Right now about to start a new one actually.

If I really really watch my diet and low carb working the best, I can be close but not quite in the range they want.The best I have done without meds is an A1C of 7.0.They want diabetics under 6.0.

I produce some insulin but not sure how much .I am insulin resistant proven by the amount I needed to inject to get normal numbers.
Orals:Metformin,januvia,actos,amaryl,byetta(injection).
Long and short acting insulin ,separately and in combination.

my step father has type 2
he has to monitor 4 times daily
