It Looks Like the Gonzaga fight Is Just getting ready to Start and
The BJ Penn fight after that for the lightweight title.

They dont mention Much about Sherk Ive noticed

Last I had heard he was the Champ but Tested positive for Nan Deca.
Cant wait to see Him come back and Fight again.

That site seems to have froze up.. I checked it again Hours later and it still says 1st rd of Gonzaga fight.
Here are the rest of the results though... Sounds Like BJ Penn Destroyed him.

Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Fabricio Werdum

Round one: Werdum towers over Gonzaga which is amazing to me. Werdum with a straight right, but Gonzaga capitalizes and gets a take down. Gonzaga with side control. Werdum now works to half guard. Gonzaga back to his feet. Werdum had good defense. Powerful leg kick by Gonzaga. Another HUGE leg kick from Gonzaga. Gonzaga with another massive leg kick and it knocks Werdum off his feet!!! That was one of the best leg kicks ive ever seen. Werdum misses with a head kick. Gonzaga with two more stinging leg kicks and the 2nd of which knocks Werdum off his feet again. Gonzaga with a high kick but Werdum grabs his leg and gets the take down. Werdum now on top in Gonzagas half guard. Werdum with a sharp elbow that lands flush on the cheek bone. Werdum now lands a group of elbow which are doing some damage. Gonzaga trying to roll over into a knee bar.

Round two: Werdum with a front kick then lands a solid uppercut and left hook. Werdum shoots and Gonzaga sprawls out. Gonzaga with a leg kick Werdum lands a right and Gonzaga with a knee to the head. Gonzaga with two more leg kicks. Gonzaga with a body kick. Gonzaga with a leg kick and right hook. Werdum with a front kick but Gonzaga catches it and throws Werdum to the ground viciously. Ginzaga picks up Werdum and slams him. Gonzaga with another hard leg kick. Werdum with a great knee and then he lands another one! Werdum with two more knees from the clinch! Both fighters are flatfooted. The pace is slowing now. Gonzaga with a knee to the body. Now Werdum with two more knees to the head from the clinch. Werdum goes for the back and is looking for a rear naked choke. Werdum is raining down some serious punches from the top!! Hes peppering Gonzaga with right hands. Gonzaga is not doing anything to defend himself!! Thats it its over the ref steps in and stops it and Werdum scores a HUGE victory to help vault him into the top 5 heavyweights in the world.

Final result: Fabricio Werdum defeats Gabriel Gonzaga via TKO (Strikes) Round 2

Well, what seemed to be a shitty card, actually turned out some solid fights. Some of the best in a while outside of the last card. There have been some terrible ppv over the last 6 months. Lots of KO's tonight. BJ is just going to be dominant at 155. I like Sherk, but the only way I see him beating BJ is by cardio. BJ's a rubber monkey!

I would Like to see Kenny Florian and Penn Next.
Florian has looked amazing his last few fights. Your right thought at Lightweight Im not sure if theres anyone that can Beat BJ penn.

There some good Fights thatll be on Spike TV wednesday.

Florian is a tough, wirey bastard! Sharp elbows, but just not enough for Penn. Although Penn looked physically good, he still looked a little gas'd after the fight. Couldn't even stand up on his own. Did ya see him grap Herb Dean's pony tail. LOL. That was funny shit.
Wed. will be good. I'm lookin forword to Swick vs burkman. Both aggressive fighters. it'll be hi paced and it isn't going the distance. That's a hard fight to pick.

What if???

I can't help but to speculate but what would the outcome be if Uriah faber came up to 155 and fought Penn? Too tough for me to guess but if I had to......Penn may just choke him out.....

Fabor is bad ass ,great wrestling,ground and pound ,and cardio but BJ is a level above.His only weakness is his cardio and he's improving it but I would love to see UFC have a 145 class and see fabor fighting in it and Im sure its only a matter of time.

From the sounds of things, 145 is right around the corner for the UFC. Uriah is tough, but I feel the same, just too small for BJ. Ya gotta remember BJ was a force as a welter.

I agree, it just goes to show that Dana White is more concerned about the money than the fighters. Couture is a legend, and there is nothing that the UFC can do to change that!
