Alright, here we go. I want to hear your thoughts on this one. If Franklin loses it will put a definate spin on the result of the "Ultimate Fighter" champions title fight. After seeing Rich on the "Ultimate Fighter" I kind of feel like I'm pulling for Silva. What was with his dumb ass advice to Matt Sera? Although I'm pullin for Silva my monet lies with Franklin.
Sean Sherk should capture the lightweight title tonight.

I bet around $75.00 between Sean Sherk and Rich Franklin, majority of the $ i put on Franklin, only because the odds weren't very good for the sherk fight, hes more favored to win then franklin is for his fight.

Any who I think silva will make for a great fight, but Rich Franklin is not Chris Leben. I think Silva is over exagerated because of his last fight with Leben. Although I must admit this fight make's me very nervous, Silva did beat a few impressive names like Jeremy Horn, and Carlos Newton.

I missed that episode what did he say?

Matt Sera was talking to Rich about how he was worried about the striking of his next fight so Franklin suggested that Sera start the fight kneeling. Could you picture that. What an idiot.lol.

Wow. Richs' face was rearranged by Silva. He spanked Franklin with ease. I mean Knees. lol. That was sweet. The card kind of dragged until tonight until Silva got nasty with the knees.
Sherk was dominate. I think that he may have been able to end it earlier if he hadn't been split open in the first round.
It was a bloody night.

I don't think that Franklin landed one shot. Silva took the clinch after about 30 seconds and ran an asault of knees for another min. until he put Franklin out. Silva may be the best that I've seen in the clinch. I can't wait to see him fight more often.

It was strange. Looked like Franklin had never done a single day of Muay Thai training in his life. He looked like he didn't have any idea how to defend against the clinch. Anderson gave Franklin a quick and painful Muay Thai beatwdown. Franklins nose got put into a new place. Man, that shit had to hurt.:D

Wow, sounds like this was one to see!
Was Rich's head in the game or was Anderson just that much better of a fighter?

I'm getting a little tired of them putting out a pay-per-view (it seems) every month with about one to two big fights in them. How many have been in this year alone?

I don't know what the problem was. Franklin has been out for 7 months, so maybe that was part of the problem. He just really looked like he had no clue what to do. Getting out of the clinch shouldn't be that difficult. And he definitely could've protected his face better.

Anyway, I thought this was the best pay per view in a long time.

Franklin's timing was off, couldn't do too much and although I am sure the layoff didn't help, I am not sure that was the main thing. Silva was just better. Never been much of a Franklin fan thought. The Sherk fight was decent but not really competitve, but I didn't think this card was too great.
Side note--UFC heavies are a joke once you have watched Pride, the two that fought tonight looked pretty bush league.

If Silvas ground game is good, theres no one in the ufc that
will take his belt. What a striker. He took chris out with his
fists, took rich out with his knees. Next time maybe he show
us how he does it with his elbows. lol

I'm getting tired too of all the PPV's. Don't get me wrong I look forward to each one but damn it, I've spent almost $400 bucks this year alone on PPV UFC fights. I still have the Nov fight with Hughes and the Dec fight TBA.

What's so odd is that Franklin is always strong in the clinch. He was actually throwing just as many knees as Silva but Silvas legs were just that much longer that he could keep a good distance while still landing them and Franklins legs were not long enough to make contact. If you look at the two side by side, they are the smae height but Silvas hips come up to Franklins chest.
