UFC legend Mark Coleman is breathing on his own and talking to his family ... just days after he was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries sustained while rescuing his parents from a house fire.

Best news I heard all day. My heart hoes out to him . He's recovering from a hip surgery and he saves his parents . Marks a warrior , always was . I used to talk to him years ago , fought in some small shows out his way . He s a great dude . We trained with them a few times through the years , Wes Sims is the one filming the video , glad to see he'd there with him . I love Mark and it's a shame he was top dog when there was no money in the sport . Glad he's ok and my heart goes out to him and his family

He was my favorite fighter back in the 90's when it all started! He got a little too heavy on the muscle side and lost some endurance, but just prior he was a g-damn monster and so dominate. Unfortunately, his rec drug abuse for many years in the early 2000's didn't help either. It was awesome seeing him return back to the UFC for a few fights after his prime at the end of his career. It was even more fitting to see him inducted into the UFC HOF, major respect.
