Greaser, I agree with you. Criminalizing AAS has just made things more dangerous. I would be fine with the government regulating and taxing it. Hell, most of us would pay sky-high prices if there was a 100% quality guarantee.
The heavy metals aspect is troubling. Especially since there's really no way of knowing what you're using.

Given how stupid people are, I doubt just having AAS available at the pharmacy as OTC products would work, but doctors specializing in sports medicine or endocrinology should be able to prescribe them -- not to encourage AAS use but as a way of minimizing harm to the users by eliminating UGL contamination. They could make sure they cycle was a sane one and could also prescribe HCG and PCT medications and other ancillaries. And yes, it could be taxed as well. I only recently went over to the "dark side" and started pinning, and that was after doing a lot of research, and the thought that I might be injecting toxic heavy metals right into my muscles scares the crap out of me. I wish there was a university lab around here that would test gear for contamination. We could publish the results in the "lab work" section.
