Many of you are using firefox, and thats just great, but google chrome is LITERALLY twice as fast

yea it's free it's been around for a good while now and I seem to like it but the last time I check which has been a little while it had a ton of security flaws. It may not now but it used to.

Check out opera....about 10 times faster than shitfox and chrome(a joke browser) and the single most secure one out there. I've used it for a while now.

When you are talking about speed, there is more to it than just random benchmarks. For instance, some of them are optimized for multiple threads being opened with multiple tabs. Some perform better the more of a load they are under.

As far as security, chrome has a pretty unique model where each tab runs in a separate process so that it is possible to lose one or two and not cause the entire browser to crash. All in all, i think that chrome is the current best in breed as far as browseres go.

I do have to say though as a software engineer, the way that it renders mark-up can be a real pain in the ass. I have to create stylesheets for IE and then for chrome currently. i am hoping they settle on some more 'standards' based tag interpration. If you are into programming though, check out some of the cool DHTML additions available for chrome. Nifty little features all in all.

im into programming and all, but not enough to be interested at all in messing with browser specific code... i like doing the backend work... php is where its at for me... its almost like C ;D
