USPS Prioirty process

Anyone know exaclt how the postal service handles our USPS prioirty mail? perhaps maybe you know someone that has worked for the postal service. Just wondering when a package is sent from one state to another usps priority, do they ever x-ray packages,etc? Was wondering how guys ever get their gear snagged in the mail. It seems with the patriot act you can never be sure what freedoms we have lost these days.

I doubt that since it is domestic(usa)state to state, that it would be xrayed unless suspicious or usps tipped off by someone.

I know it seems unlikely but who would have guessed the government would have access to our phone records, emails, and library cards? Nothing surprises me these days. Hopefully this tyranny will come to an end in the us...it seems this administration's vendetta for the past 10 years has been to turn hard working citizens into prisoners. Not to get off on a rant, but mayeb someone can shed some light on how the mail works. I always wondered how they could process so much mail and actually get it to where it needs to go. Wouldn't be surprised if they started scanning mail either.

not sure of all the steps, but I can tell you USPS has so many packages going through the mail each day, that it is impossible to give much personal attention to all the packages.

I have seen news reports of the USPS using dogs.

I don't think it matters what class of service you use, I'd assume the worst when the risk could be years in a cell. Hell, if they already have the dogs, it's not like they have to pay them overtime to work around the clock!

(Priority Mail is the equivalent of first-class mail.)

usps definitely uses dogs; good thing is none of them have been trained to detect AAS.
