I may be the minority here but, I don't think he came off very good. He seemed a (slight) bit egotistical. I do think the questions were absolutely horrid....as if they were forced to give the interview, or something. Phil is an articulate guy, by most standards. It would have been nice to see some questions related to mental focus, piece of mind, balancing professional sports with marriage(I think he's still married), what does the average person have to gain by paying attention to bodybuilding, etc. It seemed like a forced interview with an interviewee that was eager but given questions not becoming a champion. I certainly could be wrong

Well he was backed into a corner having to answer a question about the weirdest places he ever posed. Overall, I don't think anyone else would really care about an interview with him on there since the questions kind of sucked. Those guys tend to try to ask funny questions, since Dan Le Betard is a funny guy. One of the more entertaining analysts on ESPN imo

And people wonder why he's Mr. O and will be for a long time. Only other arms in the game coming to comparison is Roelly. Kai's are like a mutation gone wrong. Phil's structure is more like a mutation gone perfect, go figure...

The Mr Olypia title is like becoming Ms Universe. Yes, your look is important but so are your actions off stage. Imagine a guy like Kai becoming Mr O. He openly gets blowjobs from men on camera and fucks grapefruits. Yes, this is bodybuilding and its all about how you look on stage but in the grand scheme of things those things do matter. Imagine someone like Big Ramy winning the O. How can you expect these guys to be good ambassadors of the sport like Ronnie, Jay or Phil?

Out of the younger guys I love Evan Centopani and Steve Kuclo. Both are very intelligent and have a very marketable look even to the average Joe Shmoe.

Well articulate, smiling, laughing, down to earth... hard to hate the guy. Considering he was faced with silly questions, he did a pretty good job... not really sure I'd have answered in a much smarter way myself!!

In any case, a better publicity for the sport than all the talks about roids we usually hear in the media...
