First show, right? You look good, condition is there and looks like you have a good basic build all around. You just need to put on size.
I was in the same boat 2 years ago. I'm also 6"1' and weighed 190lbs for my first show. One year later was 210lbs. I worked with Shelby for both of the shows and the offseason. Just follow his advice and you'll suprise yourself next year! Enjoy you offseason and happy growing!
Thanks Unoigo. Yea it was my first show and it was a friggin blast. I mean I can't explain the feeling that I had when I watched myself literally transform over a 24 hour period once I cut water and started sodium manipulation. It was just amazing. I can't wait to do it again! More so, I am looking forward to being larger and seeing how much more lean I can get next time and hopefully come in with a more impressive package. I hope I can have as productive of an offseason as you were able to have!
I think you would of looked great for your 10th show much less your 1st. Nice job and great job with your conditioning. Keep grinding, you have the right attitude, a good base to start with, and one of the best trainers around. I will be interested to see how you evolve. Good luck to you and once again nice job.
Thank you so much. I definitely wanted to come in as conditioned as possible as I knew I didn't have the size to battle with in that class. I'll certainly keep you guys posted with my progress in the offseason.
You look good! Just like me we are cursed with height.
I weighed at 192 at 6'1", was shredded, but needed size to do better. Time for us to pound the heavy weights and put on some serious size!
Thanks for taking the time to PM me Pesty. I definitely look forward to pushing one another and growing and bettering ourselves. I can't wait to see you smoke your class next go round!
you look really good!! especially for 6'1"....your muscle bellies will fill out very nice..
uinogo.... 20lb of stage weight in a year?? DAMN!!
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!
With your consistency and drive, I have no doubt you'll have a VERY productive offseason.
I won't let you down there for sure! I'm looking forward most to the pain brought on by heavy widowmakers and slag...it's a much better feeling than the pain of 2.5 hours of cardio every day
You look good man. Maybe you had a tough class because Ive been at some shows where you would have placed as a novice.
Just getting up there is an accomplishment. Until you have done it, you have no idea that dedication and sacrifices that are involved.
Yea, the class was certainly pretty deep, or at least compared to what I brought to the table haha. There were quite a few guys who had been competing in that class for several years who had never placed before and finally broke the top 5 and they were all my weight, fairly shredded, and around 5'6'' haha. Definitely some solid looking guys! I probably should have started at a local level show but hell, at least now I have a much better idea of where I stand and what I need to do.
Thanks for the kind words!
great conditioning...great 1st showing
Thank you, I appreciate it!
hell, I couldn't even get into that condition in my 10th show let alone 1st!!
awesome job bro!
just some notes to help out... practice posing more! i swear, i've seen people who have the best proportions and size look really bad onstage due to bad posing..
and the posing trunks... your waist is tiny, and that cut makes it look wider.
as far as the physique goes... symmetry and conditioning were excellent!
just pack on the mass in this offseason!
Buselmo, thanks for the tips. I DEFINITELY will be working on my posing in the offseason and prior to my next show. Hell, putting in all that work and not showing it off properly is like buying a nice Mercedes and never washing it, whats the point if you can't make a nice car (physique) look good when showing it off? I have someone in mind near where I live that I plan on working with so hopefully I can get that all ironed out.
As for the trunks, I felt the same about how they made my waist look, I'll start looking into different cuts etc. Thanks again!
