true story... a gym i trained at when i was 20 had its own alcohol bar in it.. beers on draft etc... its more directed towards raquetball, but they had a decent gym inside and it was walking distance from my house.... talk about irony

My personal favorite: The people that cruise the parking lot at the gym, so they can park close to the door, so they can go inside and get on the treadmill. ALSO: The people at the gym that work out with weights and are too lazy to unload the bar. Interesting concept.

I used to work at a gym with a commercial kitchen in it, that one time had an alcohol license as well. They would occasionally make hamburgers and french fries and the smell would go throughout the entire gym. However it was more like a country club gym type setting catering more towards the tennis players.

Let's not forget Planet Fitness who gives out pizza and bagels once a month to members.

when i trained at a gym in houston 24hr fitness.. it was so packed that people had to park across the street... well these people bitched about the parking.... so the manager posted a sign outside... if you have to walk to workout.. well its helping you out.. it was some words along that line.. we both cracked up. people would bitch about the walk, yet they came to workout.

yeah those people that dont unload the bar really bother me. when those weights sit on those bar overnight for months they start to get bent. whenever i use a straightbar i have to run around the gym and spin all the bars to make sure they arent bent. everyone looks at me like i am retarded. i dont think they understand that a bent bar could suddenly 'balance' itself while doing benches or militarys and roll out of your hands
