Werewolf Cat = Lykoi

I’m in a cat rescue gang. My friend was feeding a stray that managed to find multiple feeders and bulk up. Skinny legs and tail, round belly, weird face.

He’s friendly so she brings him in to get him adopted. Her cats hated him so I took him in and ended up adopting him.

Vet said he has every disease except rabies and his hair isn’t falling out he’s a Lykoi , the werewolf cat.

I spoiled him rotten for a year but had to put him down.

I know how hard it can be to lose a pet, it can be like losing a family member. At least he got to have a good last year with you. You’re an awesome person for taking him in and taking care of him. And he does look like a werewolf cat.

That’s him with full hair. It goes through phases. He would get almost hairless and gross looking. It’s a rare mutation but not super rare.

And they do act like dogs.

I’ve got a tuxedo cat that’s just like that. Always wants to play fetch, people think it’s hilarious when she comes running in with a stick or ball in her mouth and drops it right at your feet.

Sorry for your loss. We've had to put two down in the last year. Thinking about the life they had with us instead of being a stray or shelter cat gets me through the rough times. Its better to hurt for them than for them to hurt for us.

Awesome that you rescue.

The wife and I are currently "fostering" two savannahs for a rescue. I say fostering in quotes because they are not going anywhere. They are crazy. As I'm writing this post it sounds like people are running laps in our bedroom. Some of our other cats play fetch, some are just jerks. Either way, love them all.
