hey LiLSavage!
We've already corresponded elsewhere, but if you don't mind my using you as an example, there are some things that may help you as well as others.
With the abs, do the best you can in continuing to develop them. However, the thing to do is compensate. There's nothing wrong with the structure of your serratus and intercostals. So really work hard on developing them. Then, when you're posing "abs", you should "work" your midsection to draw our (the judges) focus to the serratus and intercostal development rather than hammering away at the transverse abs. In other words, show us what you DO have rather than emphasizing what is not so good.
You are a Lee Priest type physique in which the extremities are stronger than the torso...the core. Get someone you trust to watch your form on all of your chest and back excercises. Odds are that you're getting your tris into your chest movements and your bis into your back movements, and therefore not getting the full benefit of the workout -- at least that has been true with many other competitors I've known with your type of physique. We just naturally want to shift the "load" to our stronger body parts.
This MAY not be true for you...but it's been true often enough in my experience that I'd suggest you check it out.
As you already know from our correspondence, I think you've got a great physique and have great potential! Hard work and you can accomplish your goal for next year.
