Nashville gym (athletic type - turf, boxes, etc.)

Will be in Nashville for a week. Any gym recommendations. Prefer something more crossfity equipment but still able to work out individually.

My program requires a few stuff I need boxes for (18inch), and some med ball exercises (throwing) .

They have a newer World Gym there that I absolutely loved. Mostly bodybuilding stuff but I did see a bunch of the kind of things you are looking for too.

Just kidding LOL My 12 year old little sister loves those gyms!
As soon as my gym started with boxes, rubber bands, Bozu's, stability balls, etc. etc. All the dumb ass millennials showed up and ruined it. I'm trying to focus on my 600lb squat and some 150lb kid in spandex asks me for a spot.
They can't get the blood out of the rubber matts.

We have some "reformed" crossfitters at my gym now. I am always busting their chops because they cannot refrain from occasionally busting into their "functional" BS. They (collectively) love doing stunts in the gym. Hanging wipers to show the abs, muscle ups, and handstand shoulder presses. The minute they start jerking around the pull up bar I remind them this is a gym and not Romper Room.

Yes it must have changed from World to this now. The photos are the same (same equipment) and some even have the old World Gym logos. It is a good facility, you wont be disappointed.

went there. they dont have the few things that I am really looking for.

I have never been to a cross fit gym. Do you think if I walk into a cross fit gym, pay them 15-20$ and ask them if I can work out on the side (dont want to do their work out of the day etc.), it would be ok? or will i get laughed out of the gym?

No gym recommendations for you but "Nashville Hot Chicken" is a dish you must get while there. Hattie B's is the place for consistency, but locals says it isn't as hot as places like "Slowburn" and "400 Degrees." I haven't been to the local spots but I can say the hottest version at Hattie's ("Shut the Cluck up") is hotter than any version I have gotten anywhere outside of Nashville, and it's not even close.
