I always cook rice and then let cool for a couple hours.Many carbs rice, potatoes, pasta etc. that i have seen can have lower GI by cooking first and then cooling for a few hours.

It definitely slows digestion. And it tastes awesome. I also love to season my rice with furikake rice seasoning. Added bonus it’s got a ton of iodine in itThis. A little butter, salt and pepper and you'll forget about it being 'just rice'. Season that bitch up and even a small amount of fat slows digestion considerably. Mind you I don't have numbers or anything to back this shit up
