Just one of the reasons why I think Jay is a great spokesperson/ambassador/leader of the sport.

Agreed 100%. Doesn't he still take home like 100k? Plus he's still the THIRD best bber in the world. Sure he didn't win but there's no reason to be a poor sport and be disrespectful to the other competitors. I met Dexter in April the last show I did and he really came across as a good guy...perhaps I was wrong. You can always learn more about a person when they lose than you can when they win...

He is prolly talking about branch callin everyone p#$$%^& in a interview after pre judging I believe. I'll try to find it. Im glad Branch finally recieved some recognition

I dont see anything wrong with his reaction. He was defending his title and lost, not only to Jay but to Branch as well. I cant even imagine how he feels. Of course he is going to be disappointed.

I was at the O last year in the 3rd row. Dexter got a gift last year so he should not be too upset that a spot on Jay beat him. Jay was off somehow at prejudging last year and looked just a tad soft, especially from the back. But by the night show Jay was clearly the winner. Dexter had him on condition but Jay beat Dex in every bodypart (just my opinion, but I was only 15 feet away...)
Jay is just so much bigger than Dex its not even funny.

Congrats Jay, he is a great champ.

That's why I have never complained when Jay wins, even when I think he shouldn't win. He is a class act, and is a hell of a nice person.

I really have no problem if it went either way between Branch or Dexter. IMO, if Dexter were to win every year, I would not complain, as he is the definition of a winning competitor, and always has the physique to show for it. Likewise, I think this year Branch earned his position.

I can understand the frustration with every competitor since they put so much time and effort into this contest.

I didn't see it either...just a guy who was disappointed and I can understand that, working your ass off to defend your title and placing third. I don't see where it wasn't acting unprofessional.

I see where you guys are coming from, I guess I just see it differently.

Whenever I'm onstage and they're calling out placings, the first thing on my mind is congratulating my fellow competitors regardless of how I place. You're in front of judges, an audience, and whoever else might be watching via recorded media. You should be humble and sportsmanlike.

Then again I'll never be a defending Mr. O champ so what the hell do I know, lol.

Dex also put his foot in his mouth winning the Arnold a yr or 2 ago when Arnold was presenting him asking if he is a very dedicated champion & such....his response was a cocky laugh & how he only puts in 45mins a day at the gym...then Arnold asked him if he practiced posing & he said no...Dex is just not the best rep for the sport

His reaction at the O may have bothered some, but I can't imagine how he felt after losing and coming in 3rd. I thought Dex and Joe put a perfect package together and he still got sh***ed.

I agree with this statement, just from the standpoint that Dexter always talks about how he doesn't have to do cardio and only just started doing it in the last year or two.

It does seem as if he really relies heavily on his superior genetics and is lazy.

Jay, on the other hand, obviously has superior genetics, but you think of hard work first before genetics with him.

Jay is more relatable to the average BB'er who doesn't have the greatest genetics in the world and has to work hard for every ounce of muscle they put on and has to diet hard and do tons of cardio for every ounce of fat they lose.
