Hi, Guys, and thank you for the warm welcome.....Well, I had posted that I wanted to do BB contests eventually, but the truth of the matter is, I want to pack on as much mass and muscle as possible to my 6 2 frame..
Unlike short Bbers that are under 6 feet, us taller guys with a high metabolism, and having been born as ectomorphs, such as myself, struggle every day just to keep on weight...Let alone GAIN weight.
Perhaps, I should instead, post on the powerlifting/strongman bulletin boards..I do not want to interfere with you BBing competitiors here...
I have seen many of your pics, and you guys look great, and are really dedicated to being cut..
My dedication lies with bulking up...I am not concerned with BF levels too, much...The added size helps me also, as a bouncer.
Just seeking advice on mass gaining...Not cutting up....

You seem like a nice guy, here's the thing though. You don't need more mass. I know that's not really my place to say that, but you just have way too much fat on you right now. By attempting to add more size at this point, you will just end up fatter. Soon your health will start to suffer, if it hasn't already. You are setting yourself up for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, heart attack, stroke, etc. Really man, is obesity your goal? Have you ever had your body fat measured accurately?

I am an ectomorph as well, so I know how it feels to get into the trap of building size at any cost. Don't let that happen to you. There are millions upon millions of obese people in this world, especially in America. Don't be content being one of them.

Obviously if you are an ectomorph and have gotten up to 350 lbs, you know how to add size. You don't need our advice there. What you need is to really sit back and think about your situation. Think about your health. And then, what you need from us is good old fashioned dietary advice. I'm only telling you this because you are waaaaaayyyy too concerned about what the scale reads and not concerned at all about what's really important.

Trust me, no one cares that you weigh 350 lbs when your bodyfat is up around 30% or higher. It just makes you look like a regular old fat person that you can find at any buffet.

It's just my opinion, but for the sake of your health and even for the "looks" of it all, spend your time now on making all that muscle you've built show through. That way you will look like something special instead of just a "big guy" who's had a few too many cheeseburgers.

I hope I'm not sounding like too much of an ass. It's just that I've done the same thing you've done. I didn't get as carried away with it as you, but I just think if you can overcome that overwhelming desire for mass at any cost, you'll end up much healthier and happier. Not to mention much more visually pleasing.
 
You'd get more respect as a bouncer if you were 290 with some veins and visible muscle than a guy that is 400lbs and just looks like a fat guy. Also, you'd feel much better too. I don't care who it is....if anyone is 400lbs you'll be working just to get around. Not to mention how much bigger your whole upper body would look like if you narrowed down your waist.
 
You guys are the nicest people I have ever seen (I really mean that). I wont even give my opinion other then I think this has to be a joke.

Im right there with you on the mass thing but there a fine line between a massive guy...not a bodybuilder, more like a Bill Kazmeir....and a fat fuck. No offense bro, im not saying youre a fat fuck, but ill give you an example.
During the 2003 or 2004 Worlds Strongest Man comp (forgot exactly which one) there was this 400+ pound guy during the qualifying rounds (forgot his name as well) he was pretty strong but he had no endurance, could barely move, and he totally bombed on every event except for the squat (becouse you dont need to get around much for that one). Lemme tell man it wanst pretty the guy looked like he was gonna have a stroke after every step. If thats your goal then god help you, but if youre looking to be truly massive then I say back off a bit, diet down some, and start bulking again.

That guy was Glen Ross from Scotland, he weighs around 450. That guy has no endurance.
 
Don't make the same mistake I made. I'd con myself into thinking I always needed more mass & that any weight I put on was good. I got up to 273 lbs last year & I was HUGE....a huge fat tub of gooe. I had to spend 4 months cutting, after which I lost a great deal of muscle just to strip off all the fat I'd put on in my quest for 'mass'. Bulking up to that weight was a mistake. I didn't look like a bodybuilder, but a fat bloated powerlifter. I'm now at 243 with blurry abs but look & feel 100x better. I'll never let myself get over 12% bf ever again.
 
cmon guys, he's not a slob. u tell he lifts, his chest is squared not pointy tits. if u have ever seen any powerlifters, esp. westside, this is what ur gonna see. huge, thick, with fat, but not slovenly. hell, i kinda thought u were someone from the metal militia crew. i agree with the oters that losing some weight before bulking would be a good idea. u also grow like crazy after a period of restricted calories! i sent u an email, and ill post up that diet when i get the copy of the mag. i remember it was at least 1 pound of meat, chicken, steak or turkey, at every meal- plus about a pound of potatos and some flax oil. it was completly unhealthy to eat that much year round, but he does it in spurts for his meets. there was even a health warning by a doctor at the beginning of the article! i think Frank weighs close to 400. he used to play pro football, qualified to throw shot put at the olympics-but since he accepted money as a fottball player it made him 'pro' and DQed him. when he got hurt he got into powerlifting. u should look for some info on him. some other big boys are ryan kennaly, glen chabot, kazmier, check out www.elitefts.com Q&A and forum, www.deepsquatter.com, www.metalmilita.net forum. plenty of info out there u.
