I have a friend who got literally the same deal in the hip/bottucks. Unfortunately, the pellets/shot ended up compromising the hip joint. About 5 years after full recovery, he's now had a hip replacement and he's not even 30. Walks with a slight hitch. No hip joint issues for you? If so that's fantastic. He collected under a home owners policy because a kid actually shot him on accident playing with the gun.

Couldn't collect a penny from home owners insurance as it wasn't an accident or negligence, which I agree with. Fortunately I was in the St Louis Cardinals insurance plan and paid very little out of pocket.

I haven't had any issues with my leg besides the periodic "give out". This is very rare and there is no pain associated with it. The nerve damage is amazing, but I am getting some feeling back almost a decade later.

Doctors told me I'd never run again, lift weights, do sit ups (they did a muscle graft with my abdominal muscle).
Well, I'm in a handful of guys at my gym who can legitimately squat 400+
I can run, just choose not too Too much running for baseball

dam bro ,thank god it was birdshot, but at point blank range ouch, i use 00 buckshot in my home defense shotgun, then you would have probably lost your leg, or god forbid a slug , sometimes it takes a tramatic event to really change your life around, good stuff bro, your on right track
