Well, I was just kidding with the post. Yes, its a real certification. No, its not industry recognized.

It might possibly be the worst certification in the world.

If you are serious about working in a commercial gym as a PT you would have to check with each chain. Most have their own requirements. The absolulute best certification in my opinion is the ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine). There is not a gym around who would not recognise it as one of the top 2 (the other being NASM) certifications. I have a Master's degree in Physiology from Eastern Michigan and this was not an easy exam by any means! (and certainly not cheap!) I do believe some of the best trainers and coaches are ones without degrees and certifications but educating yourself on the the science behind WHY the body responds the way it does cannot hurt you in this in the commercial fitness industry either.
