Advice on acid reflux from my friend and the smartest man I know.

Phil,

If you want to permanently rid your body of excess acid here is a great
protocol to follow. First purchase a proton pump inhibitor(Prilosec
OTC)
from your local pharmacy. Also purchase a H2 Antagonist like Zantac.
Here is
what you do. The Prilosec is taken only for 2 weeks on an empty stomach
in
the morning. The Zantac is taken one hour before you revening meal,
also for
2 weeks. This should eliminate mostl excess acid if not entirely
eliminate
it. This scheme is to be followed for only 2 weeks for 3-4 months. I
have
tremendous success with my patients with this.

You can do this every 3-4 months.

i have been on nexium for 4 years striaght and before that tagement, zantac and tums for 17 years ,have ALLWAYS since before i was 20 and before i was a BB. how can that keep the acid away after you stop the 2 week process?

it would be great and i will try but confused on how that could help someone like me ?

I agree, this will work, but not sure why you would need the Zantac. A PPI will shout the parietal cells in the stomach down so no acid is produced.

To get my friend to come on here. He is a very busy man, but loves bodybuilding. He was working on eating and training protocols according to your blood type 10-12 years ago at the university of New Mexico.

i remember him ,back in 91-94??? or so had me take certain vitimans and eat certain way after i gave you my blood type ? i forget the details but i do remember drinking heavy cream everyday>>>

I use 10mg Prilosec AM. By nighttime it is working but, not as well. The extra Zantac will probably be good enough to get you through the nite (the toughest time). Just guessing.

yes

i get that part makes sense ,my question is how that keeps working for months after the 2 week "cycle " of prilosec and zantac . i have been cycling for 22 years when i stop taking the pain and burpping and hard burn return
