Just wanted to get some feed back as to what has worked for others.

I am trying to gain, and wanted to know if working out in the morning or at night after work is more benificial.....

Currently I am on test 250 and deca and am running it at 500 and 400mg,s a week for 12 to 16 weeks. I weigh 210 and want to get to 240, am 6' and 29 yrs old.

Anyone with advice on what has worked in the past or present would be greatly appreciated.

That's very personal. Train when you're stronger. Myself I can't train early morning because can't lift 60% of my normal weights just after waking up. I'm NOT a morning person...

Thanx Alex I appreciate it.:D

Does anyone else feel differently????

Same here, my brain doesnt wake up till noon and my body doesnt till two or three. So, i am a robot at work in the morning (which is ok) but not at the gym.

I always feel very dehydrated until early afternoon. I also dont feel awake until I've had a shower and been up and walking around for a while. But everybody is different.

I have trained at all different times of the day over my training career. It really does not make any difference to when you train as your body will adapt to that time of day within a couple of weeks. When I started training at 6am it 2 weeks to get into the groove, did this for 3 years! Had some excellent workouts. Switched to after work, around 5-6pm and again it took 2 weeks and I was on it again. I now train at arouind 1:00 in the afternoon, cause I own the gym and this just suits my schedule better and there are very few people in the gym at this time. So the best time to train is the time of day that suits your schedule!

It can be argued everyone has a certain optimal/natural biorhythm which dictates when a workout would be most beneficial, but that should be fairly obvious to you. Does it take you hours after you wakeup to actually feel, well, awake, or do you hop out of bed and start spouting annoyingly perky phrases. I think the answer to that question will tell you when you should be working out. And once you've answered that the most important thing is to be consistent. Don't swap out times throughout the week once you've chosen one or the other.

I never thought about it until reading your post, but you are exatcly correct. Never in a million years did I think I could get up at 5:30 am and run 3 miles, but in the military I did that shit for almost 6 years 3 times a week. It is amazing what the body will adapt to and almost start to enjoy.

11AM

If i had to pick one time, I think it would be 11am, when you're fully awake but still fresh and just before a nice shower and great lunch.
