Anti-estrogens and migraines

Hey, I'm new to the board and have a couple questions considering anti-estrogens.

I've been reading up a bunch on females and steroids/androgens, which drugs have the most or least varilizing effects, which are good or not so great for fat loss, with beta agonists are good for cutting and effective stacks and all that jazz.

Unfortunately, information is out there, but hard to find and it's been difficult to post simple questions about females and steroids without being bashed. But, here goes nothing!

I am currently not looking to run anything at the moment, but am still curious about different possibilities for the future. I cannot take hormonal birth control because the hormonal influxes and imbalances causes me to have severe classical migraines. Now, if I were to run an anti-estrogen such as Nolvadex would I run into the same problem at the beginning and end of my cycle?

Do any other females or any one else heard of such a thing happening? Any information would be great, especially research articles or personal experience!

Thanks.

I'm not gonna even pretend I'm a qualified doc to respond w/ authority - but hormonal birth control generally provides a jump in estrogen / progesterone (depending on your brand / dose) - so that is what is giving you the migraines?

If that is correct then if you were to use an anti-e I guess I would have to suggest that you taper off at the end of the anti-e cycle very slowly because they are notorious for estrogen rebound when you come off. Its hard to say tho because it is still very dependent on your own body chemistry. Also do you know if it is a bump in estrogen or progesterone that causes your migraines?

If your current OB/GYN is familiar w/ your situation you might be able to just ask that person directly about what an anti-estrogen like nolvadex or arimidex might do - even frame it like you heard about these things and wondered what they really block , how they work and what happens when you come off. (I.e. dont' even mention it in the frame of fitness or competition).
