Anyone from the Dallas/Plano area

Hey fellas,
Just wondering what you guys think of Texas... i'm trying to decide if I wanna move down there. I live in Kansas City right now, which I like but Its time for a change. I'm stuck in a rut up here in KC (broke up with the girl I was gonna marry, just in a funk and need something different)...and my folks and lil bro moved down to Plano around 8 months ago. I really wanted to finish school before i moved but I think there are a lot of oppurtunities down there for me...I just can't decide (one drawback, I dont enjoy hot weather, although its not a huge problem) so was looking for your guys' feedback, everyone has been so helpful in the past...Thx in advance and hope everyone had a great holiday weekend....

i live in texas but a little bit more south....but plano is a nice town and real close to dallas....been there many times and i love it.....if u like the big city feeling then u got it right next to u and if u like the more country type livin then ur all good too....to me its the best of both worlds and the night life in dallas is awesome....girls everywhere!!the town has alot to offer with dallas being right down the road u will be sure to find a school here or a great job....i love it here in texas and been here my whole life wouldnt move anywhere else....and as far as the weather u get used to it its not that bad...good luck and best of wishes bro!!

I lived in, or around, Dallas for 16 years and absolutely loved it. I am very familiar with the KC area as I am living in Wichita right now. If you are an outgoing person and enjoy an active life, you will really enjoy Dallas.

And Plano is one of the nicer suburbs around Dallas. You can make it downtown in around 30 minutes.

Everyone from Kansas that would come to visit could not believe how many single chicks are there.

Some good schools there also. UT Dallas, UT Arlington, SMU.

I grew up there in Richardson between Plano and Dallas. Its not a bad place to live, summers are hot winters not real cold but often wet and shitty but then again Ive seen it 80 on Christmas day. Thats why they say if you dont like the weather wait an hour. Lot's of girls, average bar's lots of good places to eat and pretty damn good cost of living campared to most city's that size...I would say its a 7 out of 10.
