This was the meet i was training for back 6 months ago when i got hurt. i was really dissapointed when i got injured because this is my last and only shot for any JR world records (its up to ur 24th B-day). The top 3 at this meet qualify to compete in the WPC Worlds which are held in Finland this year. Well JRs is in May, just 7 weeks away. I have been felling pretty good and decided to go for it again. I have talked to several Orthos and they say as long as my knee doesnt bother me i should be fine.
It has been so hard to get motivated to train when u dont have a goal-- i was just in limbo i guess. I havent traind real hard or heavy for about 6 months now and been on a diet, so im not sure where my lifts are at right now. I know my DL is around 650 and that will wave up to about 7 with training. So my predictions for the meet were to just get back to where i was thinking i had lost alot, so an 865 squat, 575 bench, and 700 DL. That will give me the WR in Squat and Total also. Well i went to the gym last night to determine where my bench was and felt like crap! Everything felt heavy, my joints didnt feel stable because i lost weight, and my form was off. And then something just clicked! i was expecting about a 455-480 bench, with a shirt, but i worked up to 545 and still had about 20 pounds left! Im way ahead of schedule on bench and should be pushing close to 6 bills in May!!
