friend of mine sent these via email to me taken with a digital camera. the carity and color isnt great but its all i have from that show. 6th in middles this year, gotta put on the size and move up, to tall for middles anymore 176lbs at 5'9 isnt working to well

well thats just the thing AZ BB has alot of very solid bbs that are really neck and neck, this was a tuff class but i think balplaya deserved to at least place.

Florida, Texas, California, Ohio, these are tougher bb states in my experienced opinion.
Don't get me wrong AZ is good, but take it from someone that has been to MANY NPC shows all over the country for MANY years and seen the caliber of athletes from these states.
By the way Balplayer, you looked good in these pics. Don't get caught up in the height/weight thing.

well you mentioned 4 states out of 50 , but you forgot NY ,,, i honestly believe AZ is 6th.

arizona is a good state for bodybuilding. and as far as me placing sixth, well that might have something to do with me being the tallest of the 17 in that class. and a couple of the top 5 guys went on to place at the usa , i know james allen went onto 6th at the usa. so im putting on the size in my back and legs and chest, to move on up

|--[\\\]>---------- 6th, that is crap! i was there too, wish i would have paid better attention but the damn figure girls took so damn long, i actually fell asleep at the show. anyways, i've noticed AZ shows are much more political than any others i've seen. Some of the placings i did NOT agree with and from the looks of these pics, you def. should have placed higher...great job though BP!

You looked really great in these pics - hard and ripped! Much improved over the last ones you posted.

Great goal to get bigger - most of us have the same one. But I'm sure you realize, come contest time, conditioning will beat size (yes, I know - size "and" conditioning beats just conditioning). You didn't look small in those pics so competition must have been spectacular or it was "political."

i agree 100% its a coin toss with AZ shows , you never know what kind of politics might take place , so i simply dont expect to win and i problably wont but i will bring my best and thats all we can do , unfortunatly you had to learn the hard way cause at least 5th place would have made sense , you may have been taller but you held your size , thats bodybuilding for ya its like a box of fucking chocolates never know what yo gonna get LMBO

thanks conan and for all that replied,

i am back at it right now and lifting like a madman to get where i want to for next year. balance is something ive had and i dont struggle with that, but i am new to this and the conditioning and leg and back developement is what i want most. meaning glutes and hams and very separated quads. if i can achive that and add about 10lbs i hope i can stand next to most anyone on the local and regional level. which is all im concentrating on for next year.

Hell ya....Sometimes at JR's meets i go down and warm up with him...Thats when i realize i am not in shape anymore....ya I may have way more muscles but I am not IN shape...breathin all hard knees hurt like hell, oh but i look good...hahha....thats the trade off i guess....Right about now though i miss the hell out of that cafeteria food though....It sucked back then but right now i would kill for one of Virgils cheese omelets....hahhaa.....Good times at CAC....

fun times man. yeah i was 170lbs when we ran, healthy and athletic. now at 220 ( with abs still) i dont feel as fast. certainly not in a 200, but in a 40 or football speed im actually faster, but no where as durable, joints act up with the added pressure.
