So I've been dealing with soreness in my elbows lately, trying to recoupe from strained tendons in my wrist (which hurt like heck when any pressure is applied). Shoulders been bothering me and I just couldn't get my bench where I felt "happy". I had pressed 275 last week 6x and felt ok about it, it had been about a yr since going up that heavy due to past injuries.
So on my way to the gym with my wife yesterday, I tell her I think I'm gonna try 315 today and see if I can even move it. She giggled and says "you can do it babe, just fuckin lift it". So after a nice warm up and progression, I put it up 4x. I was very happy to say the least, I haven't benched 315 in over 4 yrs, and the last time I did I was juicin.
This may not sound like much to some guys, but after wrist, shoulder, and elbow injuries, this is a big step. I believe that my diet and proper training has helped so much in this recovering. I'm not trying to go too much too fast either, been slowly progressing up and feel great. I just wanted to share this with you guys, I'd like to be pushin 405 in 6 months.
Any tips, advice, anything is greatly appreciated.
