so the other night i went to moms house for supper and she is doing the atkins diet. she made some chicken it was the bomb.......

she took some durkee onions put them in a food processer and ground the shit out of them.
whiped a few eggs and then diped the chicken in the egg and then dreged the chicken through the ground up durkee onions.....and then baked
it was nice and crispy
and hands down better than that shake n bake stuff... plus the onions has only a couple carbs.....
deffenty a nice change up for some boring chicken breast....

what are durkee onions???
I think they are the onions you can buy in a can that you put on green bean casarol! Like deep fried onion strings or something like that!

Yes, those dried onions that come in the small pringles looking can.

I made it last night with the following changes as i didn't have any of those kind of onions handy, but it came out unbelievable!!!


1lb chicken breasts
2 egg whites and 1 whole egg
1/2 Onion
3 Garlic Cloves

Preheat oven to 425
Spry a glass pan with nonstick cooking spray

Place onion and garlic cloves in food processor. Grind thoroughly until it makes almost like a paste.
Crack your eggs into a bowl
Roll chicken through the egg bowl to give it a nice coat, place it in the pan.
Spread the onion/garlic paste over top of the chicken breasts in the pan.
Pour the rest of your eggs evenly over top of the coated breasts.
Bake for 25-30 min

I used a bit too much onion my first shot and it was very strong, but it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good.
I may gring up a little multigrain bread to make the paste stick a little better.
 
defnitely giving this bad ass chicken a roll!
 
they come in a small can..also there is another brand called frenches onions.
frenches also have a chedder onion version but not sure what the carbs\fat are on that.....
 
I just kinda made this but I changed it a bit. I beat my meat flat :) then I mixed honey and southwest sweet spicy mustard then rubbed both sides then sprinkled the fried onions on top. It was so dang good and wifey loved it too.
With it flattened it cooked quick and was tender enough to cut with fork. Definitely a must try recipe.

Yes sir, always pound the meat with a tederizer mallet first, cooks so much better, keeps the moisture inside, comes out great!!!!!!!!!
