I know injuies are a part of our sport...we do the proper things to avoid them, but sometimes we cannot help it. I am curious how you guys manage to battle through them and still have a good workout?? In the past, I have just worked through or around them, but I worry if battling through them might cause me some pain later in life??

How do you guys do it???

if the injury is minor i just work through it. but i have suffered some injuries that caused me to lay out for a few weeks. i just kept ini mind that i would be coming back soon enough. so far i havent been hurt too bad, just some strained ligaments and tendons, concussions, fractures, but no broken bones ( i wont count my nose being broke) what i'm trying to say is it's okay to miss workouts ... but a lil pain feels good

I DON'T KNOW STEAK.........BUT, I GET THEM WITH ANNOYING REGULARITY!

I ALWAYS SEEM TO BE WORKING AROUND SOMETHING THAT'S HURTING. I WOULDN'T KEEP DOING A MOVEMENT THAT WILL FURTHER INJURE THE AREA.:(

bro the only time I ever get hurt is pre contest and its stupid crap to. I just workout the area until it gets better or try differnt ranges of motion that dont hurt

Steak,
i use pain medications, a couple weeks after my ACL surgery.

But for the time right after the surgery i just had to sit it out, no since in hurting your self permanantly for something that is temporary.

depends on the pain...i men if im feelin a tear in the muscle or intense strain on the ligaments ill go home and w8 till it heals b4 i train that bp again.... but if its just a little uncomfort i might just lower the weight.

missing one or two workouts for a bp is better than being hurt for 6 six weeks

Shit Im always injured somewhere. But not usually too badly-only one real tear (tricep) ever. Just enough to hold me back!
I try to work through it. If that is doing damage or its not healing
then I try to work around it. If that doesnt work I see a chroipractor and let it rest a little.

Best advice is to train around it. Don't do any specific movements relalted to your injury. Just train high intensity with everything else. It's all about your mind set, don't let it affect the rest of your training. Take care.
