I tore my right bicep near the elbow 3 days ago. been to the doctor since then. gotten mri's done. they are talking about surgery. any of you guys went through the same thing? I really don't want surgery but they seem persistent. also, if i go through with it how can i possibly speed up recovery? i don't want to be out for half the year. thanks guys.

lol. wasn't even in the gym. really dumb. was at the local fair and got convinced to hop on the mechanical bull. guess i was too tense. felt a few small pops. this was all within 4 seconds. when i first happened my hand was locked up in a grip. I don't have pics, i have the mri's on disk but my computer won't load them. i really didn't think it was too bad since it isn't that painful at all. except in a few positions i get pain. bringing mir's to another dr tomorrow to make sure thats what i have to do.

I havent been able to train mine for 4-5 months. Domt even know how I did it. I can do back movements , very light bicep movements, and if I go 15-20 lbs cant do anything.

I m thinking its a tendon strain or tear. If it is torn is not fully torn. Going to my doctor about it

B-Boy in the ask the professional s had a bicep tear and it healed up after a while. Tendon tears take a long time like 6-12 months to heal

Yes 6-12 months to recover but you can workout during the recovery just not to full capacity. I am looking to understand what types of workouts I can do.

I'd do like tenny said and smash legs. Maybe some GH and bpc or tb500 to help speed up recovery

I tore mine in 2013. They did an endo button repair. It's not as bad as it seems and you sure won't be out 6 months.

I partially tore mine; I never had surgery and never went to a doctor. My right biceps is now shorter and it healed on its own and I have tendinitis since then. big mistake; get surgery; don't ruin your physique and don't let it heal on its own

If you want it to heal,,function and look correctly,,I would consider the surgery. I see people put it off and just have months of aggravation and their typically never happy on how it healed.
