1: The opposite sex, example: When your doing your workout in the gym an you have that one female or male that will do there exercises an show some cleavage.
2: Friends: Not your workout Buddy's but the ones that are your age an always want to show you off to there friends an try to get you to drink an smoke with them, what do they think you can sit on your ass all day an have a great body? That takes time an effort.
3: Depression: Things are not going well example: A loved one dies, use that depression to spur you on don't let anything get in your way I know that sounds heartless but you have to stick with it to accomplish your goals you only live once.
4: Strong Will: Being able to stay on the path you have created yeah there will be pot holes an hills but that will prepare you for whats to come.
5: Bull sh*ters: Those people that go to the gym but talk on the cell an barely do a set an then leave the gym an hour later messing up your whole workout.

These are only some of the things I have learned through my experiences. Feel free to add onto it.

I however think #1 should be children and family. If you have kids and a wife and the gym is still your number 1 priority even though you don't make your living from it then you need to set your priorities straight.

7. Financial troubles. It's rarely spoken of but the more $$$ a guy has the more time he can spend training, buy better food and supps and afford the best gear.

I hear ya on being sick. I had a fever for more 4.5 days (i counted the half day, lol) and didn't train for a week as well. I had a KILLER workout back because cabin fever and spending 4 straight days sleeping is a great motivator! LOL.

Money too. I may have to drop one of my shows just because I can't afford to travel to get there. :mad:

8. People who constantly give me shit for being healthy. I work in a bar and people think I'm weird for doing the things I do. I prefer to train, eat healthy, and take submission grappling and muay lessons for fun. I don't like getting wasted and eating shit food all day. I don't drink juice and I rarely drink alcohol. These are the same people who ask for fitness/diet advice and the moment you tell them they can't have what they eat 90% of the time, they go "well shit, i don't want to change my lifestyle!" Okay then... be a fat fuck your whole life and keep telling yourself it's the steroids that make me in shape... not the year round training and dieting I have to do. LOL.
 
Medical reasons: Getting hurt, getting sick, etc...
Genetics.
Customs and the government.
Price of food going crazy.
 
My DAUGHTER!!!!
Im in school 5 days a week and shes at day care with her grandmother. I get out of class, start my homework and im usually done by the time she gets home, and I cant be away from her when she's in my sight to go to the gym :-( Shes only 5.5 months right now and I love spending time with her and being with her as much as I can.
