ha! had you there. No, but really, I'm kind of an anti supplement bastard but I ordered some ON optimum 100% whey protein last night w/ some no xplode (I got a good deal on amazon). I'm just wondering if you guys think that there's a difference between my old faithful walmart brand protein (body fortress) and this new stuff. Is it all hype? Or, is it better for me? I remember back in the day back that my favorite stuff was "amino fuel," liquid amino acids that I drank out of the bottle... I got a lot of dirty looks swigging out of that silver jug. Haha. That was the best stuff, though. I could feel the pump after working out and then drinking that stuff. Thoughts on the ON? or the no xplode?

I get the body fortress stuff too at wal-mart, ha. I have no probs with it, it tastes good with milk, plus I like the fact it has creatine in it.

I've stood up for body fortress plenty of times... people always givin' me shit about it. But, I got 5 lbs of on for 40 bucks (only 5 more than for the body fortress, so I figured why not?)

i have the body fortress chocolate . it has changed in the past few years. it has these damn crunchy crystals in it lol. but i jus pound them anyway, hardly taste them. 2lbs for 13 bucks is good enough for me. vanilla isnt bad either.

I've always felt with NO-xplode you're just paying money for a shit ton of caffeine. All my buddies and I use ON's protein, been using it for years now.

Not sure about the No Explode, but I am a faithful user of the ON line of products.

Fair prices, products are decent, and theyre not getting sued, like half of these supp companies ( I dont think?) like BSN.

heres the label claims, per 33g scoop
130 cals 20 from fat
2g fat
1g sat fat
45mg cholesterol
3 grams carbs
1 gram sugar
26g protein

it also has a super recovery blend in it which is 9 grams per scoop which consists of creatine mono, taurine, l-glutamine, leucine, isoleucine, and valine.
The first ingrediant is concentrate, do you honestly believe those label claims? If you do i think you should do some more researching and reading! Good luck guys

These bargain protein befoul my digestive track for a whole day until my body can get rid on it.

what is BSN getting sued for?

My 2 cents on N.O. explode- if youve got some spare money use it, i think it works. Its basically useless after about 2 weeks though, at least thats when i get used to it. Id never pay store price for it or get it over something important, but ill throw it in my online shopping cart every once in a while since my main site requires 200 bucks of product to get free shipping

body fortress used to be my stand by, mix 1 scoop vinilla some bananna flavoring, I cup cottage cheese, 1/4 cup walnuts. Put in the freezer for a bit and have at night before bed. Great during the summer when everyone has ice cream.. BUT since I changed to TrueProtien, I save more money and dont have to deal with the fillers

WELL

They got sued because there cellmass or whatever that crap is had NO creatine in it ! BSN = bullshit nutrition
Trueprotien or synthetek for me.

used body fortress alot when i was up at school and there was nothing around and i couldnt order anything. i have always liked it but if i can afford other like ON i grab that. thank god for christmas and birthday gift certificates i dont think i have bought protein out of my pocket in the last 8 months

Thought you'd all like to know what another board is talking about... I've never seen so many discussions on legal "hormones" in my life

All of that supplment crap is just that - crap. Yeah there might be a few decent supps out there but if I'm spend a shitload of money on supplements they will be the real deal. I do the protein powder and occasionally creatine... thats pretty much it for me.

Sup Companies

I think ON is a good manufacturer of inexpensive supplaments, but really, I've never noticed a difference in protein powders from the best/most expensive to the worst/cheapest. They seem to work about the same and taste and digest about the same to me. I contacted Body Fortress awhile ago because they are so cheap, to see what they would say about quality, etc. and for what it's worth here is the response:

Thank you for contacting Body Fortress through our website. We appreciate your interest in our products.

Kindest regards,

Michelle

I imagine that with the visibility and volume of sales, they can produce a decent whey protein a little cheaper than some smaller niche companies. Think about how many Body Fortress protein powder displays there must be in super stores around the country and how much they must sell.

Can you elaborate on this? I've used this stuff for about 1 year now and continue to use now I'm cutting. I only have good things to say about it. But if there is more researching and reading I could do, please can you point me in the right direction or let me know what you know?
cheers :)
