Howdy,

Is this unusually high for being on 500 mg/wk TE?

The doc said it was sorta high, but didn't seem too concerned.

thanks,
GJ

borderline. Docs usually wont do much around this area. I am in the same ballpark.

I agree - it's borderline. But - - you should be taking proactive measures to reduce it!

Def borderline...all docs usually do in that situation is lifestyle changes...i would suggest decreasing sodium while increasing H20 intake while on....this will help you diurese a little plus it could've been a little high just from being nervous in the doc's office.

What do you guys think about maybe 25-50mg aldactone ed while on a cycle in this scenario?

not really because aldactone is a potassium sparing diuretic...K+ would get too high...dandilion root would help

Ask some who really has been DX with hypertension... it not uncomman to see B/Ps as high as 220/120 now thats a problem. your bp goes up this much(148/88) during a W/O... cycle off and have it checked after about 4 weeks off cycle and i bet it will go back to "your" normal level. Iwouldnt call it boarder line either. I dont care you you are you bp will wil stay higher than normal on most gear. normal is 120/80 for most people so you can see its not that much higher. Like was said keep your diet clean. Lots of water.

Arimidex (about .25mgs EOD) throughout my cycles has always helped reduce my BP via reduced water retention. Then of course I have to throw nolvadex in there to balance out my cholesterol. Then finally I also take hawthorn berries, this has been a very effective measure in lowering my BP. Even on a heavy cycle my BP is always 125/60-65. I generally always have a higher systolic than normal though.

Thanks for the responses. BCC, I've been taking about 11mgs of exemestane since day one, so I think my estrogen is about as low as could be hoped for. It's interesting that even though this isn't "dangerously high BP", I can certainly feel it. I get winded very easily, and my face turns a scary color of purple when I deadlift. I'll try avoiding sodium, perhaps that'll help with the moonface too.

thanks,
GJ

i was always taught (mind you, by a conservative professor who was anit creatine, anti protein, anti anything but carbs and cardio :rolleyes: ) that with blood pressure, lower is better of course. but dont worry about the systolic (top) number too much.... the diastolic(bottom) one is the one to worry abouy

if that gets up to 100.... stand the fuck by cuz you're in some shit.... :eek:

if my BP was like yours, i'd do something about it, eg. do my best to drop some water and clean up sodium intake and do some cardio

its only gonna hurt you to have it high, its not gonna benifit you. and over time its only gonna get worse... just something to think about

mine is decent... 112/70 usually.. sometimes a little bit higher... my heart rate is high... between 78-90 depending on the time of day... that's not great for an "athlete" but its good for John-Q Public

you cant see your heart, but its the most important of all your muscles...take care of it

**edit** cuz i'm a dummy :eek:

The real question

gimmejuice: what is your base levels? i.e. i presume pre-stack? If you dont know these then you have no idea whats "bad" for you. You need to take a range of figures;
1] straight out of bed
2] as close to after workout when you get home
3] 1 hour later
4] 2 hour later (i.e 1 hour after 3] so 2 hours after you get home

Why?
You need a range of figures over time so one single figure is not taken as representative of your 24hr rhythm, which would be inaccurate.
The post workout BP recovery can be indicative of any diastolic pressure elevation, which is most concerning.

Mr Pickles - spot on, but you got the names the wrong way around
systolic = top
diastolic = bottom
