burnout

I have been out of lifting and training since a week after the Caveman in late July. I took a break and then went on vacation and then had the hardest time getting back into the gym. When I did go I had shit workouts and have not really touched a weight since the middle of September. How do I get over this burnout.

Rest, Relax, Time. I haven't been in the gym since june/july because of football and I look like shit. I now know it's time. Just take it slow and do enough to be active and your body will let you know. It's alot of work preparing for a show and takes alot out of you. Both mentally and physically. I'd truely say do enough so it's not that diificult when you decide to get hardcore again. I speak for experience on more than one layoff from sports injuries. Atleast try and maintain a healthy diet. I've got alot of work ahead of me as I've lost almost 30lbs. (mostly muscle) due to football this season. Be patient but do alittle here and there. Today is actually going to be my first day back in a weight room all together in over 4 months. Let me know how things go.
There is alittle hint I can give you that got me going last time. Put one of those full length body mirrors outside your shower so you can see yourself when you get out.
