If they quantify "doses" in medical doses ie 5mg of dbol for a single dose. they didnt get that much. either way a huge waste of taxpayer money.

It says they also got 1,300 pounds of raw steroid powder. WOW! That is a lot.

Seems like a lot. Someone else made the point though that it might have been many different labs and possibly just 80 pounds average per lab. Even 80 pounds is an amazing amount and would require a big operation with big flasks etc to process that much raw powder in a reasonable time.

I agree it sounds like a ton. 1300 pounds sounds insane to me. I think they said 20 labs but 1300 pounds? i dont believe it

I would like to think that they are just making this shit up, but if it is true then look out for abscesses. One of those articles said:

"Products are often misrepresented, and their safety is not at all guaranteed. In addition, federal agents report that many of the underground steroid labs seized are extremely unsanitary, further illustrating the danger in buying these products illegally. For example, recent lab seizures uncovered huge amounts of raw materials being mixed in bathtubs and bathroom sinks."

Guess they don't use a flask or some sort of sterilized container.

So let's keep it illegal so these conditions keep existing... Logic from the government is just too much to expect.

Yes, they've always inflated numbers...meth, coke, acid, doesn't matter the drug. All about the general populous going when they hear the reports...all about everyone feeling so safe having such an efficient force seizing such "large" amounts of drugs. Amazing they're still pretending that we are winning/can win the drug war. I guess admitting defeat doesn't instill confidence...or win elections.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Federal authorities announced the largest crackdown on illegal steroids in the nation’s history Monday, arresting more than 120 people and raiding dozens of labs that manufactured growth hormone for sale on the black market.

Agents seized 56 labs, many of which were located in dirty basements, and recovered 11.4 million doses of steroids, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

“We were a little bit stunned at the amount of labs we found as a result of this investigation,” DEA spokesman Garrison Courtney said in Washington. “It’s not something that’s on a scale that we’ve ever seen.”
